On Tuesday 13th November, PRASEG collaborated with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Carbon Capture and Storage (APPG CCS) to convene a discussion on the future of the UK energy system and how it can be made 'net zero' and deliver negative emissions by 2050.

Chaired by Alex Cunningham MP and with participation from Anna Turley MP, David Duguid MP and Peter Aldous MP, attendees heard from Karl Smyth (Head of Policy and Government Relations, Drax) and Prof Gideon Henderson (Professor of Earth Sciences at Oxford University and Chair of Royal Society Working Group on Greenhouse Gas Removal).

A summary of the presentations and discussion is available to PRASEG Parliamentary Members and Supporters and can be requested by emailing: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
